Basic plant vs. Rosette Dwarf plant

Rosette:

• Less production of "gibberelin" growth hormone which causes elongation of stem.

• Treating Rosette with "gibberelic acid" will cause plant to elongate and appear similar to Basic plant.

• Cross-pollinating and growing the "treated" plants will help determine if the "acquired "trait is inherited.

Questions to Consider:

• Are there any differences between the "treated and untreated' rosette plants?

• Do the "treated" plants more closely resemble untreated rosette plants or basic plants?

• Compare measurements of the offspring with measurements of their parents (rosette/gibberellic acid).  Does the data support your hypothesis?

• Are "Acquired" traits inherited?/Explain.
