Are "Acquired" Traits Inherited?
Basic plant vs. Rosette Dwarf plant
Rosette:
Less production of "gibberelin" growth hormone which causes elongation of stem.
Treating Rosette with "gibberelic acid" will cause plant to elongate and appear similar to Basic plant.
Cross-pollinating and growing the "treated" plants will help determine if the "acquired "trait is inherited.
Questions to Consider:
Are there any differences between the "treated and untreated' rosette plants?
Do the "treated" plants more closely resemble untreated rosette plants or basic plants?
Compare measurements of the offspring with measurements of their parents (rosette/gibberellic acid). Does the data support your hypothesis?
