What is the age of YOUR UNIVERSE?

This looks too difficult.

I am not sure I can do all this math??

First we blow up a balloon.

Mark the balloon with 10 galaxies and a reference galaxy.

I think I will draw "spiral galaxies" like the Milky Way!

Measure the distance from the reference to each of the galaxies.

Inflate the balloon even more.

This represents the "expanding universe"!

Measure the distance again.

This "Hubble" guy was smart!

I get it - the galaxies are moving away from us.

The more distant the galaxy, the faster it is moving.

Is this a "red shift" or a "blue shift"?
