Parent Advisory Committee

The New Jersey Administrative Code indicates that the Board of Education shall establish a parent advisory group in order to provide input to the district concerning students with disabilities  NJAC 6A:14-1.2 (h).  This Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) will be meeting four times during the 2009-2010 school year.  All meetings will occur in the Mary Bray Media Center and will begin at 6:30 pm. 

Each meeting will encompass a presentation on an aspect of special education as well as allotted time to provide input to the district.  The meeting dates and planned topics for the 2009-2010 school year will be as follows:

October  22 – Presentation of  F.A.T. City – a simulation video depicting how children with learning disabilities may view their world

January 12 – Presentation topic to be determined

March 24 – Discussion and question/answer session surrounding upcoming state assessments

May 13 – Presentation topic to be determined
