Ms. Jyll Dolan Freimanis
Occupational Therapist
Jyll Dolan, MS, OTR/L, provides Occupational Therapy (OT)
services to Mt. Ephraim School District four days a week.
She is contracted through Heartland Rehabilitation Services.
She has been with our district since 2006.
Jyll attended Villanova University where she earned her undergraduate
degree in psychology.
She earned her Master of Science degree in OT at Tufts University in
Massachusetts.
During her graduate training she was awarded a year-long early
intervention and multicultural training grant
sponsored by the state of Massachusetts and The Eunice Kennedy Shriver
Center.
Through this grant she received specialized training with top therapists,
neurologists,
and other professionals in the field of developmental disabilities and
sensory integration,
and had the opportunity to work with families of various cultural
backgrounds.
Jyll has practiced OT for over 12 years.
She is also a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga since
1999.
She enjoys enhancing her knowledge base in both the field of OT and yoga
therapy.
She is certified in providing “Yoga for the Special Child” services.
Jyll loves her work with children and continues to incorporate her passion
for the field of OT and yoga
in order to help children build muscle strength, motor coordination,
postural stability, attention to task, handwriting and other fine motor
skills,
self-care skills, calming and relaxation techniques to enhance attention
and decrease stress,
self-confidence, self-reliance, social skills and peer interaction,
and to enhance sensory motor skills so that children may experience
greater success in our schools.
