Rules and Regulations

Dances will be run by the PTO Dance Committee.

Chaperone Information

 We look forward to fun, safe dances for all students, teachers and parents.
Chaperones are always needed!

Dance Hours:  7PM to 9PM
RWK Multi-Purpose Room
Admission:  $4.00 collected at door
Student ID cards must be presented
Snacks and drinks are available for purchase
Door prize tickets with each admission

How a child arrives and leaves from the dance is the responsibility of his/her parent or guardian. 
We would appreciate students arriving no later than 7:30. 
Entrance door will be locked at 7:45. 
Students can make arrangements if they know they will arrive late.

The following rules will be strictly enforced:

• All students must show their student ID cards at each dance and check in prior to entry.  This will be noted on an attendance sheet.

• Only students from RWK are permitted to attend the dances.

• All school rules apply - dress code, etc.  (no short tops, halter tops or tank tops)

• Students should arrive no earlier than 10-15 minutes before 7PM.

• There will be no laser pens, hair color, glitter spray, silly string, bicycles, scooters, or skateboards, etc. permitted in the building.

• No child is permitted to leave the dance prior to the conclusion without a parent picking him/her up inside the Multi-Purpose Room.  If your child must leave early, a parent must notify one of the chairpersons before heaving your child at the dance.

• Students are responsible for any valuables brought into the dance.  No lockers are available.  Chairs are set up and can hold jackets.

• Teachers do have the authority to invoke the BOE's loss of privilege rule as a method of discipline.  Dances are a privilege so therefore students can be prevented from attending as deemed appropriate by school authority.

• If a student is absent from school due to illness, he/she may not attend the dance.

• A completed permission slip must be signed by a parent and returned.
