Media Center Procedures
Books can be returned in the drop box at any time.
All books must be returned by the morning of the scheduled visit to the MC.
If books are not returned – new books cannot be checked out.
Books that are to be renewed can be brought with the student to the MC.
Books are checked out for a two week period.
Books may be renewed only once – student must have book with him/her to renew.
If a book is overdue and not
returned in a reasonable amount of time,
or if it is damaged, a notice will be sent home with the student.
If it is still not returned, a notice will be sent to the parent, with the cost
to replace the book included.
The student will not be permitted to check out additional books until
reimbursement for the lost/damaged book has been received.
Please remember to have your book checked out before leaving MC.
We will hold/reserve a book for one day only.
Everyone will be issued a new Patron ID number.
Students are to enter the MC and go directly to the Story Nook.

| Gr. 1 and 2 – one book each week | |
| Gr. 3 and 4 – 1 fiction, 1 non fiction each week | |
| This will include books needed for projects, research. | |
| If a student has an overdue book – project books can be checked out by the teacher and kept in classroom (they become the responsibility of the teacher) until late book is returned. |
There is a sign up sheet if you would like to use the Library independently at a different time than your scheduled afternoon visit.
Please notify us in the morning if you need the following:
Specific books pulled for afternoon class
Activboard use for afternoon class
Distance Learning – request and
paperwork must be submitted at least 10 days before DL activity.

Book Fair – There will be two Book Fairs a year. Students will visit the Book Fair during their scheduled MC time.
